The Food Truck follows renowned chef Michael Van de Elzen’s attempts to create healthy alternatives to fatty fast food from the back of a 1970 Bedford truck.

The first series sees Michael whipping up creative, nutritious takes on Pies, Fish & Chips, Hot Dogs, Pizza, Mexican, Chinese, Burgers and Chicken, to sell at festivals and events throughout New Zealand. His recipes may all be restaurant quality, but will the public choose healthy fast food over familiar favourites?
